SALT takes an active role in encouraging student learning.
In the past, SALT has run weekend workshops for students in areas such as Makaton, Cued Articulation, and electronic communication aids. We are open to suggestions, so if you have a workshop you think would be suitable, please contact us.
SALT members from intermediate and senior year levels also run on-demand mentoring sessions for junior students. These workshops are structured according to the needs and issues of attendants. Past areas of focus have included referencing, academic/scientific essay writing, an overview of Speech Pathology and exam study. If you are a first year student and you feel that you and your peers would benefit from a mentoring session, please contact us.
