Makaton Workshops
SALT has enlisted Makaton Victoria to run two one day workshops for current La Trobe University Speech Pathology students, on September 28th and October 2nd.
Makaton is a method of manually signing key words during speech to support basic interaction - both comprehension and expression. It is widely used for both adults and children with complex communication needs.
This workshop provides a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this technique from experienced clinicians, as well as an opportunity to meet students from other year levels.
